New Zealand General English
The General English course is an ideal way to improve your ability to communicate effectively and have confidence in your use of English. Our dynamic approach to teaching grammar, pronunciation and conversation using interactive software, individual and group work makes learning engaging and fun while you develop your reading, writing and listening skills.
- General English (20 Lessons)
General English includes 20 fifty-minute lessons per week in New Zealand (16.6 hours), and is suitable for study on a tourist or working holiday visa. Lessons focus on the key language skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) to help you communicate more effectively.
- Semi-Intensive General English (24 Lessons)
Semi-Intensive General English includes 24 fifty-minute lessons per week in New Zealand (20 hours), comprised of 20 lessons of General English plus four skills development lessons of your choice,giving you extra time in the classroom to focus on areas you want to further develop. Lessons vary by schools but may include Pronunciation, Grammar, Vocabulary, Communication Skills, and much more! The programme is eligible for study on a student or tourist visa in New Zealand.
- Intensive General English (28 Lessons)
The Intensive General English includes 28 fifty-minute lessons per week in New Zealand (23.3 hours), comprised of 20 lessons of General English plus eight skills development lessons. Choose from a wide range of electives to help improve your career opportunities or exam techniques, or simply enhance your experience. The fulltime programme is eligible for study on a student or tourist visa in New Zealand.
- One to One Lessons
We offer One to One lessons as an add-on in most locations. These private lessons are 100% focused on your requirements and designed by your teachers to match your specific needs.
Your 'gap year' experience in Auckland
A semester abroad studying our General English course is an ideal 'gap year' experience that will allow you to learn English while fully immersing yourself in another country.
- The Language Semester Abroad Programme starts every six weeks. You may choose to study for 24, 36 or 48 weeks to achieve your desired level of proficiency.
- Each week you will see how your English steadily improves as you focus on speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Your progress will be tracked regularly to help you achieve your goals.
At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate which documents your new language level.
Language Semester Abroad

Reach your potential

True language immersion

Free language workshops
